WCMM Fusion 2025: Where Science Meets Art
What is WCMM Fusion 2025?
This exhibition invites you to explore the fascinating intersection of science and art through stunning medical images created by the talented WCMM scientists. Each artwork tells a unique story of ongoing research, how it contributes to advancing scientific knowledge or addresses a specific medical need, and how far the research is with the goal of ultimately impacting clinical therapies.
By visualizing what is normally invisible to the naked eye, we aim to spark curiosity and inspire conversations about the wonders of both science and art. We hope this exhibition will continue to inspire to look closer, think deeper, and explore the remarkable connections between art, science, and innovation.
Exhibition Goals
- Curiosity: Engage researchers, the public, and donors with the excitement of medical research.
- Recognition: Showcase the Wallenberg initiative’s contributions to scientific discovery and collaboration.
- Collaboration: Strengthen bonds among researchers across Sweden.

Title: How visualization can shape science communication
Description: This talk will share an overview of the importance of visuals in science communication, and the possibilities that can arise from the synergy between visualization and science. It will also explore how scientists can work with visual communicators to share their findings with expert and non-expert audiences.
Workshop
Title: Exploring best practices to improve your next scientific visualization
Description: During this session, participants will be introduced to some of the most important best practices to consider when
designing scientific visualizations. Together, we will analyze a series of examples to understand how to spot pitfalls and how to improve the visuals you use to communicate your ideas and research findings.
