Two WCMM ScienceBrews down, many more to come!

The first pair of WCMM ScienceBrew popular science talks was a success. Stay tuned for the many exciting plans we have for our popular science talks series!

Thanks to all the speakers for their fantastic performance at Café Ariman!

At the inaugural WCMM ScienceBrew we heard from:

  • Luís, on turning skin into immune cells to fight disease.
  • Zackarias, on the "sweet" science of sugars that decorate our proteins.
  • Lluís, on whether or not microglia are good guys or foes in Alzheimer's disease.

At the second WCMM ScienceBrew we learned with:

  • Vilma, about who and why might be worse off after severe medical procedures.
  • Joel, about the effort to understand a disease-causing microbe the quest to make it show its kinder side.

So far our speakers had a medical science background as this is also the focus of the WCMM, but we will soon branch out to highlight the amazing variety of cutting edge research from all around Lund University.

See you all next time on January 16th at 19:00 in Café Ariman!
