One 50% clinical research position within the WCMM, LU

Lund University and Skåne University Hospital hereby announce one clinical research position within the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine at Lund University (WCMM LU).

As part of the fourth call within the WCMM LU, one combined research position for clinically active physicians (M.D.s) are hereby announced in the field of:

Translation of preclinical regenerative medicine into advanced therapies for medical products (ATMP)

The clinical research position is intended for a person with good experience in routines for harvesting cells and tissues for production of ATMP or in clinical-translational development of ATMP in clinical studies or hospital exemption. Development of cell- and tissue-therapies should be performed in close collaboration with researchers who has developed experimental therapies and physicians performing clinical studies.

 

The position, financed by Region Skåne, run for 4 years and incorporate 50% clinical duty in combination with 50% research in the above-mentioned field. Apart from full salary compensation for 50% research time, 1.5 MKr/year is allocated for project running costs. The position is part of the WCMM LU initiative for translational research within molecular medicine, in which basic researchers and clinical scientists work in close cooperation with common research questions.

 

The applicant must be an active researcher/clinician, with a major part of their academic career ahead of them. The applicant should hold a doctoral degree, but an associate professorship (docentur) is considered a strong merit as is a specialist competence within a relevant clinical field. A clinical position within Region Skåne or an affiliated partner is a requirement, however, candidates currently employed externally are welcome to apply, and if successful, will receive a permanent position within Region Skåne.
