Lund University and Skåne University Hospital hereby announce four clinical research positions within the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine at Lund University (WCMM LU).

Lund University and Skåne University Hospital hereby announce four clinical research positions within the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine at Lund University (WCMM LU).

As part of the third call within the WCMM LU, three combined research positions for clinically active physicians (M.Ds) are hereby announced in the fields of: Regeneration, Replacement and Repair in the
1) Nervous System with Emphasis on Plasticity and Function
2) Musculoskeletal System
3) Cancer.

A fourth position is also announced in the area of:
4) Medical Imaging (primarily imaging techniques/methodology, image analysis and/or data processing) for both M.Ds and non-M.Ds in all of the
hitherto decided WCMM areas:
Regeneration, Replacement and Repair in the
1) Nervous system in general
2) Nervous System with Emphasis on Plasticity and Function
3) Cardiovascular system
4) Hematopoietic system
5) Respiratory system
6) Diabetes
7) Musculoskeletal system
8) Cancer

All four positions, financed by Region Skåne, run for 4 years and incorporate 50% clinical duty in combination with 50% research in the above mentioned fields. Apart from full salary compensation for 50% research time, 1.5MKr/year is allocated for project running costs. The positions are part of the WCMM LU initiative for translational research within molecular medicine, in which basic researchers and clinical scientists work in close cooperation with common research questions.

Applicants must be active researchers/clinicians, with a major part of their academic career ahead of them. The applicants should hold a doctoral
degree, but an associate professorship (docentur) is considered a strong merit as is a specialist competence (positions 1-3) within a relevant clinical
field. A clinical position within Region Skåne or an affiliated partner is a requirement, however, candidates currently employed externally are
welcome to apply, and if successful, will receive a permanent position within Region Skåne.
