Announcement - 50% clinical research position within the WCMM, LU – with emphasis on Regenerative Medicine

Lund University and Skåne University Hospital hereby announce one clinical research position within the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine at Lund University (WCMM LU).

As part of the fifth call within the WCMM LU, one combined research position for clinically active physicians (M.D.s) are hereby announced with a broad perspective in the field of: 

Regenerative medicine (regeneration, replacement and repair)

The position, financed by Region Skåne, run for 4 years and incorporate 50% clinical duty in combination with 50% research in the above-mentioned field. Apart from full salary compensation for 50% research time, 1.5 MKr/year is allocated for project running costs. The positions are part of the WCMM LU initiative for translational research within molecular medicine, in which basic researchers and clinical scientists work in close cooperation with common research questions.

Applicants must be active researchers/clinicians, with a major part of their academic career ahead of them. The applicants should hold a doctoral degree, but an associate professorship (docentur) is considered a strong merit as is a specialist competence within a relevant clinical field. A clinical position within Region Skåne or an affiliated partner is a requirement, however, candidates currently employed externally are welcome to apply, and if successful, will receive a permanent position within Region Skåne. The group that makes the judgment may decide that the research position is directed to a research area that match one of the present areas within WCMM.
