Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine
Lund University

Greetings from the Director

Dear all,

I think all of us has noticed that our Centre is becoming more and more active with activities of different kinds, almost every second week. This is exactly in line with what we planned for together in January! I am very happy, excited and proud to see everyone contributing so ambitiously to all activities! Thank you all!

March has been an especially tough month for many of us researchers with dead-lines for many large grant applications, including ERC and VR. Well done with all the submissions, and I wish you all good luck with your applications!

We, together, ended March with the launch of our scientific seminar series “Friday Club”, March 29. I think that I speak for all that were there that is was a success! Robin and Filipe gave inspiring talks, a great discussion followed and everything was well organized by Vinay and Gesine! Thank you! A warm thank you also to Yulia for arranging a delicious after work buffé at Stamstället!

In about two weeks we welcome our SAB to Lund, SAB meeting April 17-18, and we look forward to fruitful discussions with them. We appreciate also that the SAB will get an Introduction about our Research school. Welcome all to the Dinner at Biskopshuset April 17!

This week we meet at the second NMMP meeting, April 2-4, hosted by WCMM Gothenburg and held at Marstrand havshotell. I look forward to see you there, and wish you an interesting meeting and lots of networking!

Finally, I would like to wish you a Happy Easter, enjoy this Holiday with your friends and families!

Best wishes,
Gunilla
