Greetings from the Director

Dear all,
We are very proud and happy to congratulate Iben Lundgaard and Darcy Wagner to their Swedish Research Council (VR) Starting Grants; and Filipe Pereira and Kees-Jan Pronk to their VR Research Project grants.

Thank you all who contributed to a successful and very nice seminar with LBIC! Many new ideas and strategies came up, and we will work on realizing some of them during the next year. We are happy to have received a large grant from the LMK Foundation for financing a light sheet microscope, useful for many of you. Final work is on-going with applications for the remaining funding, starting the procurement process and to get this new infrastructure up and running.

We welcome you to Strategy discussion meeting November 12 – we look forward to see you there and together plan the future success of WCMM Lund!

Final seminar of the first WCMM mentor program take place November 22, and we hope that the program have included fruitful mentor-adept meetings, increased knowledge on academic leadership and important tools for a scientific career.

Best wishes,
Gunilla
