Welcome Viktoriia Nikulina!

Portrait of Viiktoria Nikulina

Agnete Kirkeby was awarded a grant from the Wallenberg Foundation of SEK 1 million for a one-year employment to support a Ukrainian researcher. Now, Viktoriia Nikulina has joined Agnete Kirkeby’s lab as a post doc!

Viktoriia Nikulina holds a master degree in Microbiology (2011) and a Ph.D. in Cell biology (2015) from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. Viktoriia has previously worked as the head of a cell culture lab at “ICT” company in Kyiv.

Her research interests included development of approaches for placental tissue cryopreservation with high mesenchymal stem cells recovery. Viiktora is currently focused on testing of neuronal maturation factors for improved long-term culturing of human pluripotent stem cells as far as in vitro production of mature neurons is a critical issue for both experimental and clinical application.

We wish you good luck with your research!
